Small and mid-size brands often assume factory-grade manufacturing is out of reach until they can commit to large volumes. Digital sourcing platforms have changed that by aggregating demand and matching brands to factories with CMT (cut-make-trim) capability suited to smaller runs.
The trade-off is usually price per unit and a slightly longer sampling phase, but for brands testing a new category or building a capsule collection, it is often the only realistic path to real factory production.
